m-Query enables organizations to provide information services to customers via a customer SMS request/query and reply. The application allows customers to send queries to an organization for online information requests such as current account balance, customer service request, and flight landing time.
After the customer sends an SMS unique short-code number, the query is transferred to the organization’s systems. The application then retrieves the relevant information and responds to the query in real-time by SMS. m-Query, therefore, is similar to a “filtering” process sophisticated enough to extract listings addressing specific criterion.
